To purchase a Travellers cashcard you must be a resident of the UK and be at least 18 years of age. ICE will perform an electronic ID verification using your personal details to ensure you qualify for the card. These details are checked against the Electoral roll, BT records and financial institutions records and a positive identification must be returned. This is in accordance with Anti Money Laundering regulations. If we are unable to make a positive identification, ICE are unable to provide you with a card.
The ICE Travellers cashcard is the new safer option rather than carrying answer cash or handling travellers cheques with the added benefits of no hefty charges and reduced chance of losing your cash. With a ICE Travellers cashcard there is no need to carry your passport.
With an ICE travel money card your funds on your card will always be available and do not expire so you can use them next time you are abroad. Alternatively you can return your card to ICE, cut in half, your account will be closed and they will send you a sterling cheque for the balance converted at the Standard Conversion Rate.
You can use your ICE Travellers cashcard at over 28 million shops and restaurants in over 120 countries worldwide, wherever the MasterCard acceptance mark is displayed. Plus at 1.5 million ATM machines. |
