Post Office Travel Money Card currency and travel money cards are provided by Post Office
Offices: C-1, Head Office, Lower Baggot Street, Dublin 2, Ireland. Bank of Ireland

Is my travel money card like a credit card or bank debit card?

Your Post Office Currency Card is not a credit card or charge card but it works like a debit card. It is a visa Card that carries a variable amount of money dependent on how much has been loaded on to it. Each time you use the card to purchase something or withdraw cash at an ATM, the purchase amount is deducted from the available balance.

Is there an agreement to get a travel money card?

No. Each Post Office Currency Card is sent to you in a card carrier that fully explains the terms and conditions regarding the use of the card. You accept the terms and conditions by either signing the back of the card or using the card. The terms and conditions can also be accessed via the following link www.fairfxcard.com

When do i get my currency card?

Unless Post Office notify you otherwise, Post Office will issue your card within 7-10 working days of receiving your order.

What do i need to do to get a currency card?

You must sign your Post Office Currency Card as soon as it is received. You must then activate it before you can access your account. You can activate your card online. You will need your activation code, which will have been sent to you by email shortly after you ordered your travel money card.

Travel Money Cards Save You Money

Post Office currency cards are a revolutionary step forward in how consumers spend money abroad whether for travel, business or even via the internet. The card will save consumers up to 10% on their travel currency and up to 5% on the cost of using their UK debit/credit cards.

Individuals will literally be getting business level rates of foreign exchange rather than the inferior rates available at airports, bureaux de changes, banks and even other internet sites. Initially available in Euros and US Dollars the cards provide the consumer with great value, convenience and security.

The Post Office Currency Card is a prepaid visa Currency Card that works like a debit card. All you do is buy the currency you require on and load the funds onto the card.

Better Currency Exchange Rates

Travel Money Cards were created to provide much needed value-for-money and transparency in the Foreign Exchange markets for consumers. The current marketplace has suffered from an out-dated business methodology of bricks-and-mortar and physical cash.

Post Office is an internet-based business invested heavily in technology to reduce overheads and pass this saving on to the consumer. Post Office objective is to provide individuals with Foreign Exchange rates that previously have only been available to businesses. The rates available on the Post Office Currency Cards for normal holiday spending are even better than many competitors offer for large transactions such as buying property abroad.

MasterCard Currency Cards are a safer way to Travel Abroad

Post Office Currency cards represent a secure method of taking currency abroad. The visa curreny cards themselves are Chip/PIN protected by visa Cards which provides additional protection compared to cash. If the card is lost or stolen the potential loss is limited to the unused balance loaded on the card. In addition it can be cancelled immediately by calling the customer care centre
